in Greece we call it kinito (mobile).
when the wife calls we call it bourdelo...
when the girfriend calls we call it moro...
when work calls we call it gamimeno...
when the phone gets stuck or slow we call it many things..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

but bro, you are most likely heard someone call it 'handset' I think, although the right term in malay is 'telefon bimbit'.
