Different countries have different generic names for a mobile phone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

In the US people call their mobile phone - cellphone. Here in Malaysia, you are likely to bump into someone who call it - handphone.

What about your country?

The name you gave it in the title; mobile/mobile phone in the UK (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . However, we get people writing color, saying tomato (in American) etc so i wouldn't be surprised if people also called it a cell, especially in cities (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) .

In Lithuania we call it - "telefonas", in slang - "telefas" or "mobilnikas" or "mobiliakas" or "ragelis". I think we have very rich language (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wow.gif)
