Make a new canvas File / New... or (Ctrl+N) in your desirable dimensions (in our case 240x320) (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/a01.jpg) and fill it up with a white color Edit / Fill... or (Shift+F5) 2. Double click on the Layer and the Layer Style will popup! Select the Pattern Overlay (No.1) click on the down arrow (No.2) to open the pattern styles select the Artistic Surfaces (No.3) (this is on the default patterns of the CS) and press OK on the popup look for the Gouache Light on Watercolor... (No.4) keep the opacity and scale to 100% and press OK (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/a02.jpg) 3. right click on the layer and select Flatten Image or (Shift+E this command also merges two layers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) 4. go to Filter / Render / Lighting Effects... and do the following selections... (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/a03.jpg) you can experiment with the position, light direction, light coloring... there are a lot to... and there you are, you have a similar background as my zodiac signs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/Resault01.jpg) Have fun everyone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/byebye.gif) |
