QUOTE(Lionet @ Nov 1 2008, 02:28 AM) (IMG:http://i35.tinypic.com/3095xdd.png) MediaPlayer Skinner Description This software is the extension of Sony Ericsson Themes Creator. It helps themers to make skins for Media Player. It creates XML lines discribed colors and images, used in the Media Gallery and Walkman player in Sony Ericsson phones ver. 4.6. and ver. 4.7. Themer gets an usual interface, similar in SE TC, and he/she can inserts images and edits colors as he/she always doing in TC. The one of features I like more than others is a possibility to export screens preview to a PNG image and/or copy it to clipboard to paste into another graphics editors :) And I have to say big thanx for Atalantos  for his psd layouts for media player skins. I've fully remade them, but it was a first incitement for creating the Skinner. List of supported phones (based on Developers guidelines: Themes, 31st edition, June 2008)
(click to enlarge) (IMG:http://i33.tinypic.com/25uteg6_th.png) Current version and download Current version: 1.00, 2008-Dec-02 You can download the Skinner here: [link]. Please note, that this is beta version. I don't sure that it will works as I planned :o So beta-testing is the one of aims why I've published this post now. I'm waiting for your suggestions and comments and bugs (if any). Please, don't be kind to the developer and test it into different impossible situations to improve this tool for the common advantage. @ dajumper
Lionet will post the tutorial, be patient ;) meanwhile if you have the latest beta version 1.00 of the Skinner try this... 1. open the MP Skinner and load the theme that you want to add the skin 2. import the portrait, landscape and colors you prefer into it as you did in the SE theme creator 3. save it and you done that simple :good:  to Lionet  For farther instructions don't hesitate to ask ;) |

If you've already worked with SE Themes Creator, then you know how to save your theme. I've tried to make the Skinner as quite similar like as the SE TC. I suppose you've used "Export to XML" feature. But you have to use "Save" or "Save as..." to save your edits in your theme. Please describe the error in details. @ata Do we need to have Tutorial? if yes, may I ask you to write it? :haha: I'm so lazy... :) (i just don't know what I have to write there :)) |

Probably you have an older version...
go to Help/About and see what version you have you must have the ver.1.00 to load a theme ;) if you don't, then download it again from the 1st post :byebye: :grouphug: |

Ok I've promised a tutorial for the Skinner!!! :grouphug:
I'm not going to explain how the xml code works or how to import the extra xml code lines into the original xml file from the theme (thm file). Because thanks to Lionet  you don't have to worry about that anymore :clap2: Since the 1.00 ver. you can : 1. open directly a thm file with the Media Player Skinner (MPS) 2. import the images "Portrait" and "Landscape" 3. set the background, text and elements colors 4. export the previews for a presentation 5. save the thm file and all that as easy as the standard SE Theme Creator (TC) :10: ========================= 1. open directly a thm file with the MPS "After you have finished with the TC you would have a thm file, this file we will need to add the skin" Open the MPS and go to "File" and select "Load theme..." locate the thm file you want to add the skin and open it. (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS01.jpg) *note: you may not see any differences and thats because of, your theme doesn't have any info for the MPS. You can only see the name of the opened thm file at the upper left instead of the "(untitled)" and thats the only way to know which thm file you are editing ;) (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS02.jpg) ========================= 2. import the images "Portrait" and "Landscape" Select the "Portrait" tab ("1" at the preview) and then the "Import" ("2" at the preview) to load the picture you want for the Portrait. The same goes for the Landscape but select the "Landscape" tab instead. (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS03.jpg) *note: there is no need to import these pictures if you don't want to. ========================= 3. set the background, text and elements colors The procedure is the same as the TC so, to avoid a long tutorial and make it more easier I will explain only the tricky parts, for all other just place a color and you will understand were it takes place ;) (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS04.jpg) (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS07.jpg) "1": the Media Player background color takes effect at the main background color and also at the search background color. for ex. if I place a dark blue color the search will look like this (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS05.jpg) "2": Media Line Default gallery isn't visible at the MPS previews and it's a very tricky one. "Default Gallery" meaning: each SE series has it's own default color, for ex. Walkman series have the orange and Cyber-shot series have the blue color... on W series the default is the Music Gallery, the line and those flying bubbles on the right have orange color (the bubbles are not visible at the MPS preview) and the other Galleries have white color, on C series the default is the Photo Gallery and uses the blue color (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS06.jpg) By setting a color for the default gallery line it takes effect also at the color of the default flying bubbles. Unfortunately the bubbles can take only two colors, the default color and the white color. So for ex. if you set any color beside white, then the line will have the chosen color and the bubbles will have the default color (orange for W series and blue for C series...), if you set a white color then both will be white ;) "3": Flying bubbles color is for the none default galleries and you can set them with only two colors, the default and white color as I mentioned above. ========================= 4. export the previews for a presentation There are two ways for exporting your previews... 1. go to "File" "Export preview" and select the screen you want to export and save them individually. (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS08.jpg) 2. go to "View" "Preview all screens..." (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS09.jpg) and it will popup the following window and all you have to do is to select your image format and hit "Save preview..." (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS10.jpg) ========================= 5. save the thm file to save the thm file go to "File" "Save theme" or "Save theme as..." if you want to name it differently and thats it, you've done it :clap2: (IMG:http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Atalantos/MPS/MPS11.jpg) Happy Skinning :byebye: :grouphug: |
