Alright, this is a new pole as suggested by ahodarkar. Only four races left in this year's F1 calender - Singapore, Japan, China, and Brazil. Current standing after the Monza GP is:

Lewis Hamilton - 78
Felipe Massa - 77
Robert Kubica - 64
Kimi Räikkönen - 57
Nick Heidfeld - 53
Heikki Kovalainen - 51
Fernando Alonso - 28
Jarno Trulli - 26
Sebastian Vettel - 23
Mark Webber - 20
Timo Glock - 15
Nelsinho Piquet - 13
Rubens Barrichello - 11
Nico Rosberg - 9
Kazuki Nakajima - 8
David Coulthard - 6
Sébastien Bourdais - 4
Jenson Button - 3
Giancarlo Fisichella - 0
Adrian Sutil - 0
Takuma Sato - 0
Anthony Davidson - 0

Technically, with the maximum of 40 points up for grab, only Hamilton, Massa, Kubica, Kimi, Heidfeld, and Heikki are able to win the 2008 F1 driver championship.

(IMG:http://www.invision.smileyville.net/smilies/sprt%20(48).gif.gif) So, who do you think will become the F1 champion this year?

A friendly reminder: We can't hear what you say unless you hit the reply button, type and post your answer. This pole will close before Singapore GP, 27th Sept. Don't be shy. Give it a go!:)

maybe, just maybe, Robert Kubica will pull something out of his hat to clinch the title in a breathtaking final race...in Brazil ;) much like Kimi did last year.....i would never discount that guy....

but currently my money is on Hamilton. i think Massa is still a little immature

Okie, we have 2 votes for Massa & 1 vote for Hamilton now. :good: Please note that to be fair to everyone who participate, this pole will close before Singapore GP qualifying session (27th Sept). Four more days to go, so hurry up, vote now!

Because I was thinking maybe we can make a unique signature for the person (or those if more than one) who predicted correctly to use in the forum after the season ends in November. Maybe you're right I should have made it as a pole...

:haha: It doesn't matter BB. The one we think it's most likely to be a champion doesn't necessarily the driver we support throughout the season. For example, I'm very much a Vettel fan but I will vote for Hamilton to be the champion this year. Massa simply hasn't demonstrate enough consistency for me to have confident in him to perform well in all the remaining races.

Allright, 2 for Massa & 2 for Hamilton now. :)
