Hello M9ers! It's time to start one of the very popular annual event on mobile9. For those who have participated previously, we are sure that you'd join this year's event right away. For those who are new, don't miss the opportunity to be part of the biggest event on mobile9.

Theme Making Giveaway 2008
Winning Prize:
A Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset. Praises for this gorgeous headset include:
- highest rated bluetooth headset ever ~ CNET
- the slickest bluetooth headset ~ Macworld
- Wearable device of the year ~ Engadget
- I was blown away after using the Jawbone just one time ~ Symbian in Motion


The headset comes in red, silver and black. Winner will be allowed to choose the color that suit him/her best.


General information:
This will be a two week event and the first part will start on 14th of January.

1st week (14th - 20th Jan): Tournament (winners of each randomly drawn battle will proceed to 2nd week)
2nd week (21th - 27th Jan): Contest (winning entry will be selected from all 2nd week participants)


Guidelines:
- one entry per M9er
- theme for any phone (eg. Nokia - both Series40 & S60, Sony Ericsson - including UIQ, and Motorola) is accepted
- must be your own work (themes made using online theme creators, such as our very own S60 or Series40 online theme creator are NOT accepted)
- must be a new theme (haven't been released to the public both at mobile9 and other web sites)
- topic will be announced once giveaway starts

Thanks for reminding me that we missed that point. :)

Basically, all participants will be randomly draw into pairs (2 themers in a pair), and compete against each other. Winner of each pair is to be determined by members voting.

Then, winner of each pair will then proceed to week2, where each of them will make one theme (based on topic different to those of week1). The final winner of the Jawbone bluetooth headset will be selected by the judges, which is made up of all currently active senior admins (Expert_21, Adonisdemon, Vinnieza, EchoZulu, and myself). Depending on availability, we may end up inviting some great themers as judges as well.

I will not enter a challenge anymore, i see myself as retired from challenges now. I won enough to my taste and i can't find the joy of participating into a challenge anymore. I will keep an eye on the challenge.
