yeah i read that! even if mclaren win the appeal, it is upto the stewards to ecide whether to move up the other drivers or to strip the drivers in question of only their points, and allow then to retain their position

yeah well, that's a point. but then again Ferrari aren't paying Kimi all that money(he is the highest paid driver in F1 remember?) just to play second fiddle to Massa i am sure. and i am also sure that no matter what the team says, Kimi isn't going to "help" Massa or anybody else. he will try till the last lap of the last race :)

well....i havent paid much attention to how much massa and kimi will be getting next year...maybe arthuwill can enlighten us....but i can bet my bottom dollar the diference in their earnings has decreased by a truckload

secondly barring a few races this year massa has outpaced kimi pretty freqently...its not like kimi was given a choice whether to come in first or second :P

I think so. It's confidential I think.

Ferrari is caught in a very difficult situation here.:( Unlike McLaren who is fairly clear that Hamilton is their only hope this year, technically Massa OR Kimi can still win the championship. It's always bad when things turn out to be like that. You can't tell Kimi to help when he is still in the game ... albeit very little to be honest. So I think Massa has to work on his own for now, unfortunately.

:haha: True. But last year, McLaren knew before the end of the season that Alonso will not be in the team in 2008 ... This year Ferrari still has a contract for both of their current drivers till end of 2009. So to decide whether no. 1 car support no. 2 car or the opposite is quite difficult. I'm assuming the next race is critical, if Massa can pull this off (10 points) while Kimi not in podium will perhaps end the dilemma.

i thought the contracts were till the end of 2010

Hamilton lost his appeal, which was bound to happen anywayz. very few appeals are actually succesful

and i am sure the next race will go a long way in deciding who Ferrari will support. i don't see why they can't support both the drivers....they can both be allowed to go out and race for themselves, so long as they don't crash into each other!
