@zjanahi & shoutout
Thanks guys! It's really a PAIN :wallbash: using carbide.ui.. (IMG:http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9969/ferociousdragonpreviewqx9.jpg) Can someone please help me test it on phone? --> http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/255016/ Somebody help: I tested out my 'simply black' on a 3250, the colour is really bad, I saved it as 16 bit because 3250 is 18 bit.. :unsure: So I am thinking if I make a 24 bit sis for that phone(18 bit) will it work?? :wacko: This post has been edited by muerte84: Sep 10 2007, 02:16 AM |

no pain no gain hehehehheheh
good work though, u got the basics as for the 'simply dark' theme, plz supply the theme file so that we could help u out. as for the the 'furious dragon', I'm gonna test it out and give ya my comments.From the preview u posted, the theme looks good, but I would prefer if u could lower the dragon face so that the active standby icons won't block the furious face of the mighty dragon ;) good work all over & nice color coordination |

:wow: Thank You so much! :wub: This is the link to download simply black: http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/255302/ The resolution is so small so I have some doubts on the appearance on your phone.. By the way, those blue icons are default icons, how do I make a preview of the theme with default icons (like those that will appear on the phone)? I don't want them to be so blue-ish.. I have seen your work, they are very nice! How did you get it to display digital clock instead of the analogue one? The preview I made is from printscreen from carbide itself.. any other programs to generate previews? Woah so many questions! Once again thanks! :pray: This post has been edited by muerte84: Sep 10 2007, 11:41 AM |

no prob. u r more than welcomed
I will try the simply black on my phone & will hit u back soon. I have tried the dragon theme & will post some screenshots that I have comments on in my next reply.For now I'm gonna answer ur questions & plz don't hesitate to ask, we r here 2 learn QUOTE By the way, those blue icons are default icons, how do I make a preview of the theme with default icons (like those that will appear on the phone)? The preview I made is from printscreen from carbide itself.. any other programs to generate previews? Woah so many questions! the answer to ur question is simple, just use a program called Screenshot & it works over s60v3 devices.this is the link to the program & its totally free ScreenShot 2.0 after u take shots of the screen, transfer them 2 ur phone & u r done. this way the phone icons will show in the preview & u can select whatever screen u want to appear in the preview. QUOTE Oh and I have totally no idea how to change those icons and clocks to my own (I only use the ones from examples) (learnt) well me myself I'm still a rookie in my initial steps, sometimes I borrow clocks from the examples in carbide, otherwise whatever clock I put there that I have won't work. same goes with the digital clock.I'm gonna try the icons & hit u back. @zjanahi,

The bad thing here is, I don't own a nokia phone. I am using SE.. I can only tell my friends to test out the theme for me, I won't be able to use their phone to get screenshots :( QUOTE heh.. I made the navi pane transparent.. so the yellow bar is actually in my background picture itself.. if I don't make it transparent, it will take the background from application.. QUOTE I didn't even notice there was an arrow there! QUOTE I can't seems to locate where to change the text colour of this in carbide.. =============================== Any idea how they generate this kinda preview? Look at these: http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/249984/ http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/251567/ http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/251571/ hmm Also, I will love to learn how to make animation on nokia phones too.. But first let me amend those errors you spotted! I will continue testing the icons :) Thanks for taking the trouble to look through my theme, you are very nice! :rockon: This post has been edited by muerte84: Sep 11 2007, 12:40 AM |

Look at these: http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/249984/ http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/251567/ http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/251571/ there is a site that offers a tool for designing themes for almost all phones, its simple but it doesn't give a pro finish as Carbide does for example. when u create themes using this website, it gives a preview similar to those in the links u provided QUOTE hmm Also, I will love to learn how to make animation on nokia phones too as far as I know, the only way that u get animation to work over S60V3 devices is to use flash files (.swf), I hope that someone else explains this better QUOTE I will continue testing the icons smile.gif Thanks for taking the trouble to look through my theme anytime suga' & awaiting ur icons test results :D ;) This post has been edited by zjanahi: Sep 11 2007, 05:01 AM |

Thanks! Here's my entry for ntc (yet to test it on a phone) (IMG:http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8355/minicooperpreviewxm4.jpg) @zjanahi I tried putting in my own icons but the jagged edges of the icons I put in are so obvious... :unsure: I wonder if it will look smoother on phone.. |
