Thanks robban984 :rockon:

@Armo
at this site you'll find the necessary Pdf:s to make a HID, but it's not much of a tutorial. The page requires free registration and after that search for HID, and look for this pdf "Developers' Guidelines: Bluetooth HID Remote Control".

http://developer.sonyericsson.com

Took some time for me to get into making these but not very long.

thx Mahk3 great job, but how about Media Player Classic:

Space = Play/Pause
Period = Pause
Right = Frame Step
Ctrl+down = Decrease Rate
Ctrl+up = Increase Rate
Alt+Return = Full Screen'

When I have written a code how do I convert it to a .hid file. Can't find any info in the pdf files.

@Lunna
and anyone else interested in a tutorial on how to create the actual HID-files

When you have made your picture with resolution 176x220 on k700i, and your .kcf file containing the bindings.

Use Simplyzip to compress these both files to a *.TAR archive. I find it best to place/create all files directly in the C:\ drive given that's your maindrive with your OS on. I've tried placing the files elsewhere but noticed that the Hid did not function on the phone if I did, so allways place image/kcf file in C:\ before compressing them.

-Then with Simplyzip opened press "New" button (big one)
-Browse to C:\
-On pulldown menu select TAR
-Enter wanted filename eg. the name of the program it's for.
-Press "Save"
-New window opens
-Press "Add files.caption=" or something like that my OS is swedish so I don't know proper names of buttons in english (guessing, direct translation)
-Browse to and select both the image and kcf file which should be in C:\. Then press "Open".
-Then "OK"
-Simplyzip should say something like "Creation of file is done".

Then go to C:\ on your computer and simply rename the *.TAR file to *.HID and your done, send to phone and enjoy your own created remote control :rockon:

@Slicky
These remotes are for and have only been tested on SE k700i to my knowledge.
Might work on other mobile phones that has this feature and the same resolution 176x220 on the screen as k700i.

Anyway, these HID files enables you to remotely control your computer's different software program using your phone as the actual remote. It utilises Bluetooth to establish connection with your PC so you require some Bluetooth adapter on your computer. For example a Bluetooth dongle, which can be plugged in an USB port, these are quite cheap to buy.

other alternatives is a bluetooth internal card for the computer but I'm guessing that's a more expensive alternative.

then you just download the files, send them to your phone through bluetooth and you are ready to remote your computer you'll never have to take another step again :haha:.

Well primary usage for these HID's for me is to control mediaplayers on my computer from the TV room, where I run movies from the comp.
My comp can't for some reason show dual screen so comp. is black while TV gets my desktop, so earlier before this I had to have someone direct my mouse pointer out on the TV etc. but not now now I can do and see all from the TV room :rockon:

Hi

Can someone reattach these files or make them available somewhere?

Also, I'd like to make my own HID files, but I'm confused about the bindings.

Each character on the PC seems to have a code number - how do I know which code number, for instance, is the space bar? Or 'ctrl and q'?

@r_we

They are updating the forums so all files are unavailable for the moment, either they will be available later or all the files must pe re posted. Let's hope for the previously mentioned alternative :good:

*UPDATE* Files are now downloadable again.
