@Vanja- fortunately i could make it on time. thought i would be disqualified.

it's sad that saraz did not enter this week challenge. i think she could make good mixing with classic love song as the theme. :o

@husky- is it really too long? i didn't realise it. thought it could be maximum to 32 sec since i heard some others in the gallery.

@ssivic- u're the one who rejected it?! how could u?! lol dude, don't take it seriously. thanks for telling me that. :10: :gathering:

In all fairness, the voting booth is open and McKing is on the list of eligible entries so I think his ringtone qualifies. Of course this is Vanja's decision though.

Maybe we'll get some clarification for next week. The rules say 28 seconds but there are at least two other tones that were 29 seconds. I thought 28 seconds might have been a lose guideline...

Anyway, great entries from everyone this week guys - voting was hard!!!

:good:

Well, to be hones, I don't have the heart to say no to a good ringtone (if it's just the lenght of additiona 3 seconds)... But, if it were more, I wouldn't accept it... But, of course, such probably won't make it in the Gallery...

@vanja- thanks for being kind  , appreciated. anyway, i've made a shorter version into the gallery which's exactly the same as the 1 in the challenge (bit rates&effects), only cut 1 repeating part in the beginning of the tone. however, as i reviewed my tone-RC, i realised that the tone's sound quality is different from the original. is it something wrong with the volume again? but when i made the shorter version, it came out the same sounds quality as the original.
vanja, did u make some changes on ur signature? it seems unusual, some parts are missing.

@ssivic- hey bro, now i only realised that u became a gallery moderator! cool! congrats! :clap2: :10:

@echozulu- i love ur remix. it's kind of electrofied remix to the tone, so far the 1st ever had in the ringtone challenge! could u tell me how to do that and what kind of software u're using? :)

Of course McKing. Btw I'm a big fan of your entry for this week's challenge :)

To make this ringtone, I simply took the acapella version of the Beyonce song and cut it up. For the music, it's all my own.

In terms of the software I used, most of the work was done in Sonar 5 Producer Edition. All of the drum sounds (kick, snare, cymbals, etc) were included as single hits in various sound packs that I've purchased over the years (probably from powerfx.com). Many of them come in loops and then I cut them up to mix and match them - and then I create my own unique beats.

The bass in this song is a simple square wav bass sound from a DXi (DirectX Instrument) SoftSynth plugin called DreamStation. Then I used various effects.

I'll post some screen caps later if you're interested. I love looking at the visual layout of a track... :)
