that's probably what it is jpg is smaller than a gif witrh the save for web function, what's the difference in quality between a gif and jpg? i use gif as that's what mo's tuturial said to use and that's what i've been using from now on, i can't see if jpg looks the same as gif with a 65K display so i don't know which one to use

just use jpeg...i think it is better quality myself... :good:

BTW someone actually downloaded my k700 theme :wow: unless it was expert just testing... :lol:

:haha: maybe it was someone nicking an idea in your theme e.g the tab selection image or wallpaper or something?

also are we going to get a K700 wallpaper catagory? or will that come later when the K700 is released?

jpgs are better in most cases. You don't have to follow Mo's tute exactly do you? :lol:

Vin, Mo's tutorial is a tutorial, and should really only serve as an introduction to theming so that beginners can get to grips with using theme creator and the relevant image sizes. Experimentation is the key to this lark, not following someone else's quide.

Do you still consider yourself as a beginner to theming? Doubtful.

true, what i was trying to say was why would mo put it as a gif in his tuturial when jpg's a better quality and are smaller in filesize? but from now on i'll use jpg then :)
