Just a quick update about preview of themes uploaded.

1. For multiple previews to work, all the previews must be in the same format.
For example, if the main preview is in JPEG then please make sure that any subsequent preview is in JPEG as well. :) If not, error occurs during validation.

2. This is optional. But it would generally give people a better view of themes they are going to download.

It would be great if the main preview of the theme uploaded is in complete form. For example, NVIDIA by BBT.

This involve extra work by taking screenshot out of the theme. However, it does help to give better idea of how the theme looks like especially for those who haven't got theme creator or theme studio in their hands.

Finally, thanks a lot for sharing you work with us, as well as time and efforts made browsing the forum to help each other. They help to shape M9 a better place for all of us. :grouphug:

...needs to be in same format

this means, if I have a preview with animation in GIF, I need to save ALL previews in GIF, even if the other screens aren´t animated. Is that right?

Besides, can an animated preview be uploaded? Have never tried so far...

Ah! I didn't know this Expert

I think I recently uploaded a theme with a gif and jpg format. If it's a problem then delete it and let me know and I will upload it again.

I think it's the Reaper theme Uploaded 16th Oct.

Sorry.

Vic

You can always edit it, once in the gallery - otherwise gif file won't show as animated, at least that happened the first time I did it that way :byebye:

I will actually most likely delete all incompatible preview shots and leave just the first one on there. it should be fine after that. You can always attach new extra previews through the eidt function if you wish to :)
