ouch :( i didn't even know we could use MSN for sms. i guess it's diff here since we're used to using AOL AIM. if we have unlimited sms then it's not costly not unless there's a limited amount of sms in your phone plan

yeah. but the thing about msn is that you can only send sms to people who have it set up in their settings. But when you set it up, it doesn't tell you that it charges you for every sms sent to you buy people on your list.

It was ok though, I only got sent 2 from my sister-in-law

I find icq sms very buggy for Australian service providers. It will in general sms to optus and vodafone people but it has a few problems with some people on those networks as well :(

And it dosent always work so you cant be 100% sure it goes through. It used to be good before icq changed sms providers though.

Like what wintot said, it's chikka for us!!! Send a message from a pc to a mobile phone and it's absolutely free!!! I think it would be still be free when your texting somebody abroad. And I believe this works for other countries too. Try www.chikka.com , download the messenger and just send a message to a mobile phone for free! :good:

Go to this site
It's a dutch site with lot's of free things on it. On the left you see the red squares click on the one which is saying: Gratis sms. then you will find several links to free sms sites. But some are only for the people who live in the netherlands.

An other page you can go to is: Free SMS

Also a dutch page.

Want some more, let me know, maybe I'm able to find some more here in the netherlands.

CYA

I dont know about anywhere else, but here in the US with Tmobile, if you change the your data account for text messaging from GSM to GPRS, then when you send your text message, it will uses GPRS. And with Tmobile, we get free GPRS so Free SMS :) and WAP and Everything else :)

why not register on 02 or vodafone, im preety sure you dont have to actualy have a contract with them and you get 250 free sms a month. also sometimes special message centre numbers are leaked which allows for free sms but they only ever last a few days.
