what's happening is the phone will but up to the part where it's searching for coverage then it vibrates then goes black then tries to boot up again then goes black again it keeps doing this until you take the battery out of it. has anyone any idea what's causing it.

yeh it is an s700i. so far in my house we're on the the 6th when this has been returned. it doesn't look too good does it. found out something really weird last night. if you take the sim card out the phone will stay on, it's when you put it back in it keeps screwing up. anybody know why that is. even if you change to another voda sim it does the same thing.

well i've figured it's more than likely the firmware because both the sims are contract vodafone sims used previously without problems. the phone's bluetooth wasn't responding very well just before that happened so i think there's some sort of conflict on it now. both sims work fine in a second vodafone s700i that's had tobe replaced twice now the second time was for a simular problem but it was alot worse than this one. i can't figure why it happened though.

another thing when i try to call the broken phone from another s700i it says that my calling credit (from the phone i'm on) is low even though it's a contract and has 700 mins left for this month?

the funniest part was the standby screen has a sort of western style poster that says s@# wanted in western font on it, if it has to be repaired you can bet your a$$ i'm not going in with the phone or fetching it back.

;)
