@adonis: nice choice of wallpaper! your desktop and your menu are slightly skewed. theres a handy guide out there (have to find it) called mo's tutorial, it may help you with your cuts. dont be discouraged and keep plugging away, the themers are here for each other, we'd be glad to help you out along the way.

@august - That's a great theme, and not just because of the pictures of women used.

So many good themes again this week. It's hard to choose just 3.

@ adonis
UPDATED RULES

General Information:
-As suggested by a couple of our members, we've decided to set up a thememaking challenge for Sony Ericsson T610.
Briefly:
-Every week, a topic is chosen. All the other thememakers will then work on a theme, based on the topic.
-Any member from the M9 forum can particiapte.

Rules of participation:
-Thememakers can use any pictures/styles as long as they stick to the topic. They will then post one preview of the theme on the thread.
-You may only submit one theme each week.
-Any change and alteration to the submitted theme is allowed.
-You may also withdraw a submitted theme and replace it with a different theme.
-Any submision to the contest can be uploaded to the gallery.
-If there are specific conditions in any of the weeks, you must stick to the conditions, or else your entry will be excluded from the competition.

Rules of voting:
-At the end of the week, everyone, including the thememakers vote for the themes in which they think deserve the title 'Theme of the Week. Of course, thememakers are not allowed to vote for their own themes.
-Votes are points based as follows:
Your No.1 vote will get 3 points.
Your No.2 vote will get 2 points.
Your No.3 vote will get 1 point.
-Please vote for Three people.
3-Do not mention more than one person in each vote.
e.g.
1-John
2-Michael and Steven
3-Sven
If there happens to be more than one name, those two names will be excluded from the points count.
-Do not vote "everyone". Points will not be granted to everyone!
-You may change your vote by editing your existing vote and NOT by making a new post.

The Winner:
-Winners receive 500 gils (Currently no Gils system)
-The winning theme gets to be uploaded to a special category on the gallery.
-The winner also chooses the following week's topic.
-The winner may declare specific reasonable conditions for the following week's topic.

Post any questions here, not in the weekly thread please.

@august
gr8 with the gurls again . as usual naughty august

August - really nice idea. Really like it.

All the rest of you - great themes so far.

Well, I'm back this week. Had a bit of a go. Just a littl something I put together.

Comments (good or bad) welcome.

I like the menu design. Not sure about the blue shadow on the text - I can only imagine it looks clearer on the actual phone?

I like the highlight bars, but what is it on the right of each bar?

Good question... it's Lucy Liu's body in a stylised marketing image for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle - so she's firing the flamethrower that makes the rest of the highlight...

Could really fit more of her in - really want to do ore with highlights, but am finding things rather limiting - have a few suggestions for Sony Ericsson's next generation of themes...

Yeah - I agree with you a bit on the shadows. May review that...

not sure I remember Lucy Liu in the original series ;)

I think every themer has suggestions for SE on their next generation of themes - one thing I've noticed as weird is their own theme creator program centralises the softkey text - even though they aren't on the phone. Anyway, I'll shut up about that before someone slaps a :offtopic: at me :)

Thought someone might mention that... I reckon the recent movies are in themselves "retro" and are homages to the 70s series, and therefore are fair game, so I feel fully justified...

And you are right about the text - it's much better if I reverse it - here's a new version...

the text does look better now.

I think you might just get away with that homage to the 70s series theory. :good:
