Today, Nokia released Version 4.0 of their theming tool for Series 40 devices.
What's new in it: - Plug-in Management. Support for future versions of the Series 40 platform will be available as plug-ins. This feature will enable users to install and remove these plug-ins. As these plug-ins are released they will be available on Forum Nokia. Note: Uninstalling Carbide.ui doesn't delete the folders created when installing plug-ins, these folder will need to be removed manually. - Deployment via Ovi Suite. After packaging, themes can be transfer and install onto a device connected to the PC via Ovi Suite. - Improved deletion. A delete option is provided that can be used to delete one or more themes from the workspace. Nokia also provides Plug-ins for this newest release to enable the creation of themes for various Series 40 platform editions and devices. Amongst others, there's the "Series 40 6th Edition, Feature Pack 1 Touch and Type UI" which enables theme creation for upcoming Series 40 touch handsets such as the Nokia X3-02. Happy theming BB |
