QUOTE(itchy11jr @ Apr 12 2007, 10:42 AM) xxxxxxxxxxx My best argument against an atheist (nothing against you at all boxie) {o by the way to define atheist: theist- a believer in a personal god, and the "a" before would mean the same as anti. So an "a"theist (not believing in a god) still has to "believe" that there is no god because there is no humanly way to know that, therefore it is a religion in itself}xxxxxxxxxxxxx  i always thought the same way. and i must commend u itchy, that was too good!! amazing! :10: |

@ techno- Yes I agree God is always here, everywhere. I was just showing that Evolution (which is very much pushed in the school systems here, and in the UK. I know this because I travel there often. I have never been outside of the US or Europe so I can not speak for other countries) is just as much a a religion as any other belief. I think Australia teaches a lot of evolution also. I think we are on the same page, I was just putting it into a more scientific standpoint so that we don't come across as "I'm right your wrong" thing with no evidence to back up our belief. Like I said, its nice to have people on my side for once. I never realized that Christianity was so strong in the Eastern part of the world. My mother has been to China and told me many bad things about their government (but thats just china) Being here in the US (unless you know people in other countries), we are really shielded from what the rest of the work is like. either people don't care, or like me don't have a way to find out without traveling the myself. @ Boxie- Thanks mate. I never like people to force religion on other people, so I hope it didn't come off like that. I just wanted to present what I believe and let you see if it made sense. cheers  {that would be a ROOT beer for me ;) } This post has been edited by itchy11jr: Apr 12 2007, 08:22 AM |
