I've heard they support animations. I am assuming this would be on the FC and FO screens... are they .gif files? Does anybody know?

@vlamm: I am not sure about P910, but P900 does not support animated themes. FC and FO can be gif files, but they won't be animated. Might be different for P910 though.

Yes it was specifically mentioned that P910 would support animations. I'm just trying to get some more details now ;)

@Vlam, this comes from my-symbian:
QUOTE
# Wallpaper: BMP, GIF, Animated GIF, JPEG, MBM, PNG, WBMP. 208x189 pixels in Flip closed mode and 208x254 pixels in Flip Open mode. In FO mode, only the first frame of an animated GIF is displayed
# Screen saver FC and FO: BMP, GIF, JPEG, MBM, PNG, WBMP. Animated GIF supported (animation uses more power). 208x320 pixels Flip open image size. 208x208 pixels visible area with flip closed (same image as in FO mode)

Not sure whether its present in the P900, but when I put a .GIF file as wallpaper, its animated.

As I have now learnt, the P900 would support animated FC wallpapers as well..... but only if they are the exact size As soon as the phone resizes it it will drop the animation.

Strange enough my 'insider' tells me the P910 is supposed to be capable of resizing and keeping the animation...... :unsure:

Yes my P910i does resize and animate the gif, takes about half a second for the picture to appear but fine after that
