# Which is Better Core i5 or core 2 quad and please tell the differences (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

# can someone suggest should i assemble the pc or buy a branded one
(if assembled then which motherboard you recommend that will be suitable for gaming and can be
upgraded)

#lastly which graphics card should i get which would support most of the latest games
(i don't need a high end rig coz i ain't hardcore gamer)
and also whats the difference between ddr3 and ddr2 (with respect to graphics card ,ram and mother board )

core 2 quad is dead Core i5 is quad and has turbo technology meaning when you need more power the CPU runs faster...

yes you should assemble it your self it will cost you cheaper and you can upgrade anytime with no trouble...

motherboard go with gigabyte P55 - UD7 it has USB3, SATA3, DRR3 and all new features and it supoorts i5 and i7 i would go with i7 there is not much differences in price and they come in hyper-threading

#lastly which graphics card should i get which would support most of the latest games

graphic card i would go with ATI get your self a 5850 or 5870 they all come in DDR5 1GB

DRR3 is much faster than DRR2 and all new i5 and i7 are only DDR3 compatible and make sure they are 1.6v and billow and they are for i5 and i7 ram coz old DDR3 ram are at 1.9v witch will kill your PC.

if you need more help let me know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well he is talking about the RAM Voltage. Older DDR3s were using 1.9v to run, however the new DDR3s for i5 n i7s are using 1.6v.

LOL below AU $100?
haha for that I dont think you can get a good graphics card. Somehow I think you can get Nvidia 9600GT which is sufficient to run many games. I won't recommend that GPU if you are gonna be a serious gamer who want more FPS with Highest settings. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

well 1 intel core 2 quad is old know and very hard to find motherboards for that CPU so there is no point telling you difference between them coz there is
a lot as i7 have Hyper-threading and also turbo technology and need only DDR3 special ram to run this CPU also all motherboards know are USB 3 SATA 3 and all new chip set
but if you like to know more i will let you know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) also they dont make new CPU for the 775 socket any more...

Finally I've Decided To built a custom pc
So i have brought these things :
Processor - AMD Phenom II x6 1090T (i was convinced by the fact that it has 6 cores and at nearly 65 % cost of core i7)
which gives me clock speed of 3.6 ghz and 6mb l3 cache
Motherboard- Asus (it came with the processor the seller said that this supports the latest phenom x6 Processor)
graphics card - i got in built 1 Gb Graphics card which is enough for me now
if i'll need more for hardcore games i'll buy a new one.

Please Comment Wether I Had Bought A Good One
