Spring theme eh... I never experienced spring, so I'm not sure how I'll approach this theme if I do decide to enter. Or are we talking about spring as in those bouncy Slinky-type spiral objects? *LOL*

@dragon2590: Welcome aboard! I don't like the red colored font of the titles; it doesn't match the entire theme that it sticks out like a sore thumb. Also, I'm having problems as well with your choice of the light green font. It works perfectly with some of your screens, but it doesn't go well with some as it gets drowned out by the bright yellow/white colors that it makes the text unreadable.

Hey dragon,
Those are nice pics you used for your theme.
...and that can sometimes be the problem... trying too hard with titles & highlights.

Have you considered translucent highlights? It doesn't have to be an image (the wood texture you've used is too blurred). A plain or graduated complementary colour with maybe some leaves in a corner might help enhance the background image.

The same could be done for the menu bars (which is missing in all but standby screen) & status bar.

... and just as the_F1_enigma mentioned - red fonts don't match. The green seems to also be a problem in some screens. Think readability.

If you have a friend who's willing to help, let him or her take a look at the theme loaded in a phone.... you'll understand what we mean by readability.

My wife's my critique :whip:

Great topic!! :good: It will be nice to see what people come up with ;)

Dragon - I agree with RJ 100% The backgrounds are nice, so keep the bars nice and simple with a good colour scheme to go with them.

Hey bj,
Nice pic. The green tones gives it a kinda spring feel to it.
You have curves in your titles & menu bar... might want to consider curves for the highlights as well. Maybe the same treatment as the menu bar but with a slightly darker shade of green or go with a more graduated gold (to represent the sun) for highlight & tab elements.

:)

Best for doing themes? It's quite subjective - I've been using PhotoShop for years.... other themers would have their own preferences
